Hi, my name is Kirubel Yadetie
I am a senior majoring in Information Science at the University of Maryland with a strong foundation in statistical analysis and data manipulation. Currently, I am spearheading projects that combine data-driven insights with creative problem-solving, such as analyzing academic performance metrics using R to uncover actionable trends. My academic journey has been complemented by my work as Vice President of my school’s soccer club, fostering a sense of community and collaboration among students.
I’m passionate about bridging the gap between design and technology, particularly in building user-centric systems. As part of my academic and personal projects, I’ve worked on designing a smartphone system architecture, creating a currency converter with integrated APIs, and leveraging tools like Leaflet.js to build interactive maps. My work ethic is guided by the belief that impactful technology comes from blending innovation with accessibility.
Beyond academics, I have explored leadership, art, and culture, serving as a member of the Ethiopian and Eritrean Student Association (EESA) and embracing opportunities to connect with others. My past experiences include a blend of coding, design, and community engagement, which have shaped my holistic approach to tackling complex challenges. Whether it's mentoring peers, organizing events, or delivering presentations, I thrive at the intersection of collaboration and innovation.
